Advanced Features
Online & Offline ECU Coding
The advanced coding function is used to re-flash the vehicle control modules. This allows you to update the vehicle's computer software to the latest version and reprogram adaptive data for certain components after repairs or replacements. It provides solutions for issues related to drivability, fuel efficiency, power loss, fault codes, and the durability of mechanical parts.
Please note: ECU coding is NOT universal for all vehicles. Please check compatibility with your VIN number before purchase.
Active Test (Bi-Directional Control)
The Bi-Directional Control capability allows for Active Tests to access vehicle-specific subsystems and component tests. The tester sends commands to the ECU to drive actuators, helping to determine the integrity of the system or parts by reading ECU data or monitoring actuator operation. For example, you can actuate relays, injectors, coils, or perform system tests. It can also actuate solenoid valves for active testing to easily identify errors, such as opening an EGR valve and observing the difference in idle response and oxygen sensor voltage.
Please note: Active tests are NOT universal for all vehicles. Check compatibility with your VIN number before purchase. Available tests vary depending on the manufacturer, year, and model, and only the available tests will be displayed in the menu.
